Church Cleaning Checklist

If you’re searching for a church cleaning checklist you’re likely a pastor or minister who’s looking for a thorough list of items that need to be cleaned in your church on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Download the Church Cleaning Checklist PDF

It doesn’t matter if your church has 50 members or 5,000, regular cleaning is vital to maintaining the building’s brilliance. Reducing germ exposure is also important to ensure the safety and well-being of your church members. It is recommended your church be cleaned at least once a week as well as after any special events are held.

Church Bathrooms

The church bathrooms should also be cleaned each week. Clean the mirrors and countertops, and empty out all of the trash cans. The toilet seats and bowls should be cleaned completely using a strong cleaning agent such as Comet.

Church Kitchen

The church kitchen will typically be cleaned by the staff using it, but weekly maintenance cleaning is vital for keeping the room shining. Empty all trash cans and thoroughly wipe down the countertops, sinks and stovetops with a disinfectant spray. Sweep and completely mop the floors and clean all of the windows. Refrigerators should also be cleaned on a regular basis.

Church Lobby

The lobby is the fellowship area and main entrance of your church. This is where weekly bulletins are circulated, and commonly where church members assemble before and after services to engage in small talk. This area needs to be vacuumed or swept, and all trash cans emptied out. Take down any old bulletins and dispose of them. If your church has a snack table, dispose of any crumbs or leftover food and thoroughly wipe down the table.

Church Sanctuary

Sanctuaries usually see the most traffic, because they are needed for church services, weddings, and funerals. The sanctuary needs to be vacuumed and all trash cans should be emptied out. Place hymnals and Bibles in their proper locations and collect any deserted bulletins and throw them out. The stage area should be cleaned to remove any thrash the choir may have left behind, and all props should be removed, and put in their proper location. Let the musicians clean the instruments.

Church Nursery

Completely cleaning the church’s nursery is one of the most important parts of church upkeep. Small children don’t yet have fully developed immune systems, so they are especially vulnerable to catching colds and viruses. Vacuum the nursery floors and be sure they are free from smaller objects, like as hair clips, coins or whatnot. Wipe down any furniture with a non-toxic disinfectant. All toys should be also be cleaned with a disinfectant, particularly the toys that young crawlers and infants can place in their mouths. Change out crib bedsheets and thoroughly wash them in hot water to kill any leftover germs. Completely wipe down the crib mattress covers with a non-toxic disinfectant.

Church Classrooms

The church classrooms, that are used to hold Bible studies or Sunday school lessons, should be vacuumed and tidied up. This will include putting away any leftover Bible study materials, like papers, pens, and Bibles. Clean the tables and chairs with non-toxic disinfectant wipes. If the classrooms have coffeemakers in them, add new filters and restock the coffee creamers stirrers and coffee cups.

Church Offices

Church office rooms are typically the most used since the pastoral staff is usually in them daily. The office floors should be thoroughly vacuumed at least once a week and all of the trash cans emptied. Dust telephones, computer monitors and bookshelves. Disinfect the telephones by wiping them down with disinfectant wipes or a soapy washcloth.

Bi-Annual And Annual Church Cleaning Guidelines

It’s usually easier on church staff to let cleaning professionals handle larger cleaning jobs. Here are some examples of cleaning jobs that should be done at least once or twice a year.

  • Deep-steam carpets
  • All Furniture upholstery cleaning
  • Hardwood floors waxed, buffed and sealed
  • Church-wide air duct cleaning
  • Outside power washing

Green Cleaning Cost
Written by Desert Oasis Cleaners

How Much Does Green Cleaning Cost?

The average cost of green cleaning is $42.50 per hour with prices ranging from $25.00 to $60.00 per hour for the US in 2019.

Green Cleaning Service

A green cleaning service typically costs $5 to $10 more per hour than a standard cleaning service. Normal rates for commercial cleaning are usually $20 to $50 per hour, so expect to pay anywhere from $25 to $60 per hour for green cleaning.

Desert Oasis Commercial Cleaning realizes that janitorial cleaning services for health, safety, and aesthetic appearance are essential to employee productivity and the overall success of your business. But, these commercial cleaning services must be treated in a responsible, renewable manner that protects our planet and its resources.

Green cleaning is using products and practices that are safe for the environment and do not emit any pollutants when being used. Green cleaning is important not only for our environment and planet but generally for the health of the overall public.

Green cleaning is an exploding industry. Public awareness is increasing about the long-term effects of using harsh chemicals. Commercial cleaning companies are answering by progressively offering eco-friendly cleaning services.

Green cleaning means more than using non-toxic and harsh cleaning products. It’s an extensive approach to cleaning practices that are eco-friendly. It means minimizing paper waste and using less water.

Green cleaning offers the same services as regular commercial cleaning companies – everything from mopping and dusting to cleaning kitchens, floors, and breakrooms. However, the services usually come at a somewhat higher cost than other services. This is mainly due to the higher cost of eco-friendly products and cleaners.

How Do I Know the Service is Really Green?

Any cleaning company can call themselves “green”. It’s up to you to do some homework to make ensure the cleaning company you decide on, actually has environmentally friendly practices. Ask specific questions, including:

Do your cleaning products meet U.S. EPA regulations for safe cleaning products? Those that do are tagged ‘low’ or ‘zero’ VOC (volatile organic compound).

Do you use microfiber cloths rather than paper products?

Do you utilize flat mopping technology that reduces water waste?

Do you utilize HEPA clean vacuums and filters?

Green Cleaning For The Environment

In summary, implementing Green Cleaning effectively:

  • Reduces pollution in our water supply
  • Keeps better air quality
  • Reduces exposure to allergens
  • Reduces the exposure to pollutants that have been found to cause cancer, mental disorders, learning handicaps, infertility, hormonal imbalances and more.

Using a green cleaning company for your office could also lead to lower health insurance cost as some insurance companies reward businesses that work along with green companies.

Church Cleaning Cost
Written by Desert Oasis Cleaners

How Much Does Church Cleaning Cost?

The average cost of church cleaning is $50 per hour with prices ranging from $25 to $75 per hour for the US in 2019.

Clean Church Environment

Church cleaning cost per sq ft: $0.05 to $0.20 per sq ft. Church cleaning cost per hour: $20 to $50 an hour.

Pricing for cleaning larger facilities – both in terms of their size and amount of traffic they get – usually appears as either cleaning by the hour or per square foot. Some hourly rates will range between $20 and $50 per hour. Square footage rates will range between $0.05 and $0.20 per square foot.

Smaller grounds needing light cleaning most likely will receive a flat rate of $30 to $40 per visit. Using this as an example, light cleaning can refer to emptying trash cans, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and moping. Adding other tasks and responsibilities such as bathroom cleaning is going to raise the rate.

In addition to their normal cleaning rates, cleaning companies will often charge additionally for non-standard tasks, like cleaning carpets or floor polishing. It’s a good idea to ask about these tasks when getting a quote.

Requesting a Church Cleaning Quote

The rates in hiring a professional cleaning company will vary widely, based on factors such as the size of the campus, your cleaning requirements, and even in which part of the country you’re located in.

The cleaning company you contact for your quote will most likely tell you that they don’t give out exact price quotes without an in-person visit to see your facilities. On the other hand, if you can answer the five following questions, they should be able to give you a pretty accurate estimate:

How often do you want them to clean your campus?

What is roughly the square footage of your campus?

What is the age and what type of condition your building is in?

What kind and how much traffic does your campus receive?

Do you have any special cleaning requests or requirements?

Certain duties often called deep cleaning, will increase the price. Bathrooms, specifically, fall under this classification, particularly if you want them mopped and sanitized daily.

Importance Of A Clean Workplace
Written by Desert Oasis Cleaners

The Importance Of A Clean Workplace or Office

If you are searching for information about the importance of a clean workspace or office, this post should help!

Clean Workplace Environment

The workplace environment affects employees’ productivity, performance, and their well-being. It doesn’t matter what industry, keeping a clean workplace helps keep staff members safe, healthy, and working efficiently. Regardless, busy production schedules and increased workloads can cause standards to dip.

It might be enticing to put off light dusting or other types of cleaning around the office or workplace, but doing so may put employees at risk of suffering an injury or illness and may even impact their performance level. Maintaining a clean workplace is essential for employers to reduce their worker’s compensation claims and keep their business running efficiently.

Necessary To Safety

When employees work in an untidy environment, they sometimes may not notice all hazards, which increases their risk of having an accident. As reported by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), an occupational hazard is anything in or around the workplace that can cause harm. An occupational hazard is usually caused by neglect on the part of the employer or a lack of awareness by their workers. When the worksite or office isn’t clean, it may increase the chance that a hazard will go overlooked by a supervisor and employees.

For example, if equipment is left along an emergency path, workers may become injured if they trip or fall over it because it is not where it is supposed to be. If boxes aren’t stacked correctly, they may fall on an employee and cause injury. Employers may want to bear in mind to keep the workplace free of debris and remind their workers to put all equipment, like personal protective equipment (PPE), in their designated places to avoid an accident.

Crucial To Health

As flu season rapidly approaches and workplaces see an increase in the number of employees using sick days as they become ill. Germs can spread fast through the workplace if supervisors and employees don’t properly sanitize their workspaces and their hands. Commonly used spaces, like break rooms, can be hot spots for germs to collect.

Break rooms have been found to have around 20,950 germs per square inch. Parts of the break room that are usually touched the most, like doorknobs, microwave handles, and sinks, can be riddled with germs. Employers should clean these places on a frequent basis, and every day during flu season.

An additional common health hazard of dirty workplaces is the growth of mold. According to OSHA, mold can cause severe health effects for employees who are exposed to their spores. Mold is a fungi that can discharge millions of spores into the air that can cause severe respiratory illnesses. It is for this reason, that OSHA has strict standards employers are urged to follow to stop the growth of mold in the workplace. Mold germination happens in warm and humid conditions, making it vital that employers regularly clean the worksite facilities, like bathrooms, to lower the chance of mold growth. Employers may also want to replace or clean their indoor air filtration system more frequently to make sure any mold spores that are released into the air don’t reach their workers.

Consequently, a messy or unhygienic workplace can have an influence worker performance. If employees get injured or fall ill at work, they may not be able to perform their job as well as when they were healthy. This reduction in efficiency can cause deadlines to be missed and additional errors to happen.

Cost to Clean Tile & Grout
Written by Desert Oasis Cleaners

Cost To Clean Tile & Grout

The average costs of commercial tile & grout cleaning are $461 with prices ranging from $278 to $644 for tile & grout cleaning for the US in 2019 according to 5,643 HomeAdvisor members.

Tile & Grout Cleaning Costs

Tile is an attractive addition to any home and grouting your tile with matching or contrasting colors is a perfect way to add creativity and design to any tile floor or wall. But unless your tile & grout are correctly cleaned, they can become disgusting and your lovely colors can be depreciated in appearance. Also, dirty grout can turn into a health hazard and a breeding ground for germs. If you are concerned about having your clean your tile & grout professionally, here are a couple of things to consider about the costs.

What Is Grout And Why Do I Need It Cleaned?

Grout is the blend of cement, sand, and water that is used between floors tiles – ceramic tiles, mosaic tiles or any other type of tile while getting it installed. Grout is permeable and can easily absorb grease, dirt, mildew, mold, and limescale. The soils, dirt, grime, and spills produce marks and patches on the grout’s joints of the tile floor and consequently make your entire floor look filthy and unsightly. Unclean floors can also lead to bacteria growth which makes for an unhealthy living or working space.

What If I Do Not Clean My Tile & Grout?

If not cleaned correctly tile & grout can grow unhealthy viruses and mold. This not only results in stinky odors and the possible spread of disease but without regular cleaning, the grout becomes more and more hard to clean. As its porous nature will start to absorb the bacteria and harmful mold that gathers. Tile & grout cleaning can become more difficult and challenging the longer the floor is ignored.

Tile & Grout Cleaning Equipment and Supplies

Grout is sometimes hard to clean and needs extra care and specialized tile and grout cleaning equipment. The easiest and best way to clean tile and grout effectively is by steam cleaning. Tile steam cleaning is more thoroughly completed by a tile and grout cleaning professional who not only has experience but most likely possesses commercial strength equipment. Although it may be cheaper to do it yourself, it will actually not be as cheap as you may think. A professional may seem like you’re going to pay more upfront, but their skill and equipment could be in and out of your home in just a few hours.

Tile & Grout Square Footage

The single largest cost factor in the price of cleaning your tile and grout is the square footage of the space you need to be cleaned. A lot of professionals will charge a price per square foot that includes labor costs and materials.

Amount of Grime

If it has been a long time since you last had your tile & grout cleaned the cost of cleaning may be higher. Ask a professional to give you an evaluation and quote ahead of time so you won’t have any surprises

Commercial Carpet Cleaning Prices

The average price of commercial carpet cleaning is $0.17 per square foot. Commercial carpet cleaning prices range from $0.15 per square foot to $0.20 per square foot in the US for 2019 according to RestorationMaster.com

Commercial Carpet Cleaning Services

Commercial carpet cleaning sometimes may need special attention. Different types of equipment might be required to be used when cleaning larger areas of the carpet. This is the reason professional carpet cleaning companies offer services that are designed specifically for commercial carpet cleaning.  This assures they can provide proficient results. What are commercial carpet cleaning prices and rates?

Daily foot traffic brings dirt and allergens to your carpets collecting dust, mud, sand, bacteria, etc. It is hazardous to leave your carpets uncleaned for long periods of time. This could create an unhealthy work environment while dust and dirt settle into the carpets. This is the reason why using the services of a professional carpet cleaning company for your commercial carpets is such a great alternative. You can not only have your carpet cleaned, but it also will be done professionally and effectively. A professional carpet cleaning company can provide you with other cleaning services giving your office the opportunity to reach its cleanliest.

Commercial Carpet Cleaning Method

What is commercial carpet cleaning? First, when you request these services, experts will inspect the condition of your carpet. They examine not only the overall condition of your carpet but also the high traffic areas. This is the perfect time for you to ask them any questions you may have about their cleaning process.

How often should you clean your carpet? The carpet cleaning company representatives can schedule monthly or yearly visits depending on how often the carpet is used. For example, if you have a lot of employees, you may want monthly carpet cleaning. These companies can work around your schedule and can usually come out on weekends.

Most professional carpet cleaning companies offer to come and inspect the condition of your carpet in the days after the appointment. The purpose of this is to ensure that the cleaning services have been done correctly and that your carpet is in its best condition. If stains are still there after the initial cleaning, a second cleaning will be done with a follow-up.

Professional Carpet Cleaning

Carpet cleaning companies usually also offer you other services like green carpet cleaning or even mold removal. Most companies will combine your carpet cleaning with other services allowing you to save money in the long run.

How can you determine the price of commercial carpet cleaning? Different cleaning companies are going to have different prices. Once you get in touch with a professional carpet cleaning company, they can provide you with a free estimate. Getting multiple estimates may take a little time but could save you money in the future. However, the price range of some of the commercial carpet cleaning companies varies at around $0.15 to $0.20 per square foot. For tougher stains, there could be an extra charge between $40-$50 for the stains to be removed. Talk with your carpet cleaner about coupons or discounts as well.  If you schedule regular cleanings, they might offer you a discount.

Warehouse Cleaning Tips

Warehouse Cleaning Tips

If you own a business or manage a warehouse you might be searching for warehouse cleaning tips.  Maintaining a clean warehouse is a main factor in having a high productivity and effective warehouse. It can provide capabilities for moving more product in a smaller time frame, with reduced accidents and safety issue which inspires a higher amount of morale while producing better work conditions for employees.

16 Warehouse Cleaning Tips

The warehouse at your industrial, commercial, or retail location is typically a hive of activity and a storage area for valuable products or raw materials.  Keeping it clean helps employees stay healthy, safe, and products ready for shipping out or customer pickup.  A clean warehouse simply works better, has less accidents, and fewer sick days due to the spread of germs.  Desert Oasis Commercial Cleaners has been cleaning warehouses for many years and discovered the best tips to help you keep your warehouse clean including:

1. Use racks and shelving to maximize warehouse space.

No matter if it is a workshop, warehouse, an office, or supermarket, any space is able to benefit from a well-designed shelving and racking layout. The key factor is to increase the ease of accessibility, inventory control, safety and there is an added benefit that a well-designed layout can eliminate the need of relocating to a larger warehouse with efficiently using space in a more optimal method.

2. Keep available space organized using floor labeling

When it comes to organizing a warehouse, floor markings and labels are an approach that is cost-effective. It can be used for marking traffic flow, or route of forklifts.

Designated parking spaces for forklifts not in operation, pallet positions and locations also help avoid product from being placed in locations that are inconvenient or a safety concern.

3. Using barriers for organization and safety

There are many things that a barrier can be used for: keeping staff protected from moving machinery, preventing cosmetic damages to stock, or prevention of blocking certain areas off when not in use. Using a portable expanding scissor barrier can be useful, they are transported easily between locations as needed.

4. Using ergonomic equipment

A company can use ergonomic equipment to regularly meet their objectives while maintain a healthy employee morale. A businesses success often depends on the well-being and health of employees, by using ergonomic equipment within a warehouse, the liability issues are reduced, as well as employee exhaustion and stress. When employees are overworked, it ultimately leads to reduced productivity. A higher productivity level translates into higher quality work, more sales, and reduced amount of mistakes that saves the company money.

5. Store high-volume product by shipping areas

By placing the popular products where they are more accessible and closer to shipping areas they can be retrieved quicker. This will will help keep things organized. They keyword is ABC analysis, and doing your homework is important to keep things efficient.

6. Provide plenty of waste bins, while keeping them regularly dumped

There are many typical materials associated with a warehouse, including bubble wrap, cardboard boxes, paper, plastic wrap, etc. These need to be disposed of properly to avoid accumulated packing materials which create a large mess in a short amount of time (sometimes in just a few hours).

The best warehouses provide recycling and garbage bins throughout the building to help encourage workers to dispose of material properly.

Keep waste cleared regularly to avoid bins overflowing, which leads to additional trash laying around. Garbage bins should be emptied before they are completely filled.

7. Develop a cleaning schedule plan

Cleaning plans should address areas with higher traffic areas, such as docking areas that tend to have accumulated packing materials. After identifying zones with the most clutter, assign priority for cleaning duties on a daily, weekly, or a monthly cleaning.

8. Assign employee and zone responsibility

Each employee should be responsible for their assigned zones. As the majority of employees will specialize in a particular zone, make it a rule that each employee’s zone needs to be cleaned prior to leaving for the day.

These responsibilities can include picking up garbage, sweeping, dusting to washing equipment and floors (within safety standards). Idled moments can be converted into useful labor time by cleaning on slower days.

Create and use a rating sheet to inspect areas, while assigning specific times during the work week or month for employees to clean their assigned zones thoroughly.

9. Recycling

The three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is a simplified term that can be implemented and ensures better organization for the company. When running a ‘green’ warehouse, the simplicity of the system is that the majority of items are recyclable.

  • Reduce: Keep garbage and clutter cleaned, so no unnecessary materials are accumulated.
  • Reuse: Over half of pallets get tossed out after a single use. Getting in a habit of reusing resources can be an extremely sustainable action for the environment, even in small amounts.
  • Recycle: The majority of wood, paper, metal, iron, steel, and glass can be recycled.

10. Reviewing and evaluating your design

It does not matter how organized your warehouse might be, if a company’s sales increase yearly, eventually a new warehouse design layout will be required, even an entire new warehouse may be required. Because the warehouse space requirements naturally change over time, it is greatly recommended that warehouse designs are re-evaluated every 3 to 5 years, depending on how company sales increases.

11. Clean as You Work

Developing a “clean as you work” cleaning program will help relieve some of the cleaning duties needed after dirty work. If your machine creates a lot of shavings, or your work results in wasted packaging material at individual stations, have employees clean those areas before the task is considered complete. If work results in wood chips on the floor, have the employee who created them clean that zone.

12. Quick Spill Clean Up

Spill can be one of the most dangerous in your warehouse.  Whether it’s a spilled drink, a product, cleaning supply, or raw liquid material quick spill clean up is a key to a clean and safe warehouse.  Having your team ready with clean up supplies such as mops, paper towels, and safety equipment is important.  For any dangerous, corrosive, or hazardous liquids goggles, gloves, and other safety equipment should be readily available.  When spills happen quick clean up is a must and deep cleaning should be done to remove any residue by your cleaning company or janitor.

13. Turn Inventory Regularly

If you have stock that simply doesn’t move it will collect dust.  As employees work in the area dust will get stirred up and cause you to need to clean more often.  It’s important even for non perishable items to get rotated out as new stock comes in.  Get the older stock turned to the front as new shipments come in to make sure the dusty boxes or containers make it out of your warehouse and don’t increase cleaning activities.  It will also help keep your employees healthier when there isn’t excessive dust in your warehouse.

14. Restroom Cleaning

All warehouses need restrooms for employees and office staff.  Many other warehouses are also places where will calls are and customers may come to visit.  No matter who is at your location on a regular basis bathroom cleaning should be a priority.  In addition to just making it nicer to work at a location bathroom cleaning is pivotal in preventing the spread of viruses and germs.  Property owners can do the cleaning themselves, hire a janitor, or simply allow their commercial cleaning company to come in on a regular basis to take care of the cleaning.

15. Breakroom Cleaning

Another important area for cleaning is if you have a breakroom or kitchenette.  The sink, countertop, microwave, tables, and chairs in your breakroom get dirty quickly.  If messes are left people’s food can get contaminated from germs left in the kitchen.  In addition, messes that are left on tables and chairs can end up staining people’s clothing.  This sends them back to work looking disheveled and unkempt.   Lite cleaning by each employee as they use the breakroom is a must, but a deep cleaning that disinfects surfaces will help avoid the spread of germs.

16. Warehouse Office Cleaning

Your company likely has a warehouse managers office, HR offices, and other staff that might be in or near the warehouse.  It is important to also keep these areas clean to help staff stay healthy and areas presentable.  Messy offices do not present the authority of managers properly and will undermine the respect that employees sense is deserved.  Commercial cleaning services for warehouses will keep the office areas of your business clean and ready to take care of business.  Best of all if you’ve got unexpected visitors from partners, suppliers, vendors, or others your office areas will always be ready to welcome people in proudly.

How To Reduce Dust In A Warehouse

The largest contributors to dust in warehouses is wood and cardboard dust.  However, forklifts also add to the dust and diminished indoor air quality in your warehouse.  Better use and maintenance of forklifts can help maintain healthier conditions for your workers.  In addition, some warehouses are outfitted with microfog systems which help remove particulates from the air.

Reduce Airborne Dust Levels

The best way to control dust in your warehouse is to sweep and clean your floors regularly.  Warehouses are typically large areas which would take a long time to sweep with a broom.  Electronic floor sweepers cut the job down significantly and helps keep the time needed to maintain dust levels reasonable.  In addition, forklifts can be outfitted with barriers which help prevent dust from being sucked upwards and made airborne.

Test Forklift Emissions

Forklifts have exhaust just like vehicles and should be maintained so they are not unduly contributing to your indoor dust problem.  While this isn’t the largest contributor to dust in warehouses it is a consideration and should be monitored.

New Forklift Tires

Older forklift tires leave black marks on your floors and add to your indoor dust problem in your warehouse.  Options for improved higher quality black tires for tires made from silica help reduce dust in your warehouse.  Cheap tires wear out faster and contribute more dust in your warehouse.

Minimize Forklift Tire Wear

Another way dust can be reduced in your warehouse is to train forklift drivers to drive more conservatively and improve your floor conditions.  Hard turns, rapid acceleration, and over weight loads all contribute to tire wear and dust.  In addition, potholes, large cracks, and rough patches in areas your forklifts drive will eat at their tires and contribute to dust.  To reduce dust drive more conservatively and consider having your floors resurfaced or epoxy floor coatings added.

Why Is Cleaning Warehouses Important?

There are 3 main reasons cleaning warehouses is important.  It instills a greater level of pride by being presentable, cleaning makes it safer, and it can improve efficiency.   Read more about each reason keeping your warehouse clean matters.

Pride in Presentation

The warehouse can be a place in your organization that sometimes is out of sight, out of mind.  This allows employees to be lax in keeping their work area clean and even affect they way they present themselves.  A clean warehouse with shelves dusted, clean floors, and tidy terminals helps staff maintain respect for their surroundings and their job.

Clean Warehouses Are Safer

Whether it’s chunks of cardboard, oil slicks, or piles of torn shrink wrap debris on the warehouse floor poses safety risks.  Staff can be carrying items and slip and fall and some warehouse machines need a clean and safe floor to operate.  A stock picker or forklift is a serious liability if they get out of control or hook onto debris that pulls products or raw materials off shelves.

Improved Warehouse Efficiency

While a clean floor is a safe work habit it also impacts efficiency if there’s garbage all over the place.  As products or raw materials are unpacked, or wrapped to ship, there’s usually some waste.  Having habits that immediately clean this waste up keeps employees safe and focused on the task at hand.

Lower Accident Risk With A Clean Warehouse

A warehouse that is dirty or disorganized results in higher risk of accidents, being less efficient and employees tend to adopt attitudes with les care and lower morale regarding the work area, with an end result that affects their efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance. Furthermore, dirt leads to equipment and machines having malfunctions, costing both time and money to repair. Packing materials incorrectly discarded, such as plastic wrap and pallets can become obstacles for a forklift or tripping hazards. To avoid these, people and forklift drivers may attempt to avoid them by driving or walking into areas they should not, or simply run the obstacles over leading to damaged machinery or product.

It is important that warehouses provide clean and open aisles without obstructions, so people can safely move, including heavy equipment and inventory transportation. Also, warehouses should not be moldy or dusty for the respiratory health of workers.

How To Clean Exterior Windows From Inside

How To Clean Exterior Windows From Inside

A lot of people are searching how to clean exterior windows from inside.  Whether you’re cleaning the second story or higher windows on your house or business it’s tricky and dangerous to get the job done right.  When a ladder isn’t an option because it is too high up these window cleaning tips will help you safely take care of your dirty windows.

Exterior Window Cleaning Tips

Dirty windows at your home or business affect how visitors see you.  Grimy windows ruin the view and limit the natural light you can enjoy.  Use these exterior window cleaning tips to keep your glass gleaming and property welcoming.

Floor Mops For Windows

While you’d never want to use an old floor mop for your windows a new mop head and the right cleaner can make short work of your exterior windows.  You can mix equal parts vinegar with water in a bucket to dip your mop in.  Once you’ve got the mop out the window you can use it to scrub your windows on the outside.

Once the majority of the grim is gone you can switch to using newspaper and a streak-free window cleaning to polish the windows to a shine.  Never lean out of a window or climb out onto a ledge to try to clean your windows.

Magnetic Window Cleaning

Another way to get to hard to reach exterior windows is with a magnetic window cleaner.  If your windows don’t lower into the room by unlatching it means leaving the windows dirty or playing a daredevil window cleaner on a ledge.

A magnetic window cleaner cleans the inside and outside of the windows at the same time.  Each of the sides of the magnetic cleaner will have microfiber cloth that helps wipe away the liquid window cleaning products you choose to use.  It might take a little practice to get used to using it, but it will keep you safely inside your property.

Telescoping Exterior Window Cleaners

Much like a floor mop the telescoping window cleaner keeps you safely inside but allows you to reach the hardest spots on your exterior windows.  Most kits are sold with a circular sponge and squeegee.

This system can be used to first scrape away hardened or dried grime on your windows, such as bird poop.  By first using the dry sponge to scrape away some of the grime you can move on to using window cleaner liquid and then use the squeegee to remove the window cleaning liquid for a streak-free shine.

Clean The Screens

The glass isn’t the only part of your windows that can reduce light coming in and cause your view to be blemished.  The screens that keep bugs out of your property also can get dirty and diminish the look of your property.  You can use dust cloths or microfiber cloths to wipe away dust.  By using a vacuum and a brush attachment you can remove a great deal of dust and grime from the screens.   A one to one mixture of water and vinegar can also be used to cut through and rinse away caked on grime from screens.  In fact properties that have bathtubs or large sinks can use them to help clean screens.

Robotic Window Cleaners

While your Roomba can happily trundle along keeping your carpet clean, your windows are out of its reach.  For this purpose window cleaning robots were created.  They help properties keep up with some of the regular dirt and grime that windows get from mother nature.  While the units do have some suction they will only get a portion of the grime off the windows, and make a bit of noise.

Robotic window cleaners are anchored with safety harnesses on the outside of your property and will work like a Roomba to decide the best path to clean your windows efficiently.

Professional Commercial Window Cleaning

If you own or manage a business you likely don’t have the time or tools to keep up with your window cleaning.  The presentation of your business affects how your customers and potential customers see and feel about your business.  Ensure that you’ve always got your best foot forward with clean windows at your commercial or retail location with commercial window cleaning services from Desert Oasis Commercial Cleaners.
